Lumos Pinot Gris Rudolfo 2018
Regular price $22.00
Pinot gris is Oregon's number two grape in terms of acres planted. But while pinot gris sells easily, most of it is distressingly ordinary. Only a few bottlings really stand out as simply great white wine, and Lumos has been my pick for "best in class" for some years running. This is just brimming with cool, fresh fruit flavors that are buoyed by perfectly gauged acidity, and it possesses a mouthfilling texture that really coats the palate, eventually fading into a long finish. This is a pinot gris to relish, one with real complexity and that stands far above the metric tons of lesser plonk. Farmed organically, of course.
