Beaux Frères Pinot Noir Belles Soeurs Cuvee 2018 -- Wine Spectator 94 Points
Regular price $99.00
$99 / bottle
From The Wine Spectator: "Harmonious yet dynamic, with fervent violet and raspberry notes that pick up orange peel and black tea accents along the way to a polished, structured finish. Best from 2021 through 2028."
Those who have followed the OPNC for many years will recognize this name! Beaux Freres has brought back the original Belles Seours bottling, the "sisters in law" wine to match up with the regular "brothers in law" Beaux Freres bottling. This is the first return for the label in at least a dozen years. The wine is a step more refined and graceful than the BF itself, but is equally complex. The aromatics are beguiling, and the wine is lifted, fresh, exceptionally persistent and drop-dead gorgeous.
From the winery literature: "After a 12-year pause, this renaissance of our Belles Sœurs Cuvée label has the seamless elegance and finesse it always showcased, and is now solely compiled from our family’s three vineyards (Beaux Frères, Upper Terrace, and Sequitur). A worthy tribute to our little pocket of the Ribbon Ridge viticultural area, it is a bright, lively wine balancing red and blue fruits, genteel minerality, and beautifully high-spirited character at every turn; an altogether triumphant return for our long lost companion cuvée."
