Arterberry Maresh Pinot Noir Maresh Vineyard 2018 -- Parker 95+ Points
Regular price $62.00
The most nuanced, intricate and complex wine from the Arterberry lineup, this is one of the best Oregon pinots in every vintage. The Maresh Vineyard has some of the oldest, most coveted fruit in Oregon, and Jim Maresh knows just how to use it.
Again, this is priced significantly lower than the last vintage. Arterberry Maresh has a new distribution agreement, and that usually makes wine prices go UP. However that worked itself out, lovers to top-shelf Oregon wine are the winners. This is crazy good for the money. You could easily spend a hundred bucks here and not get a wine nearly this lovely and complex.
From Robert Parker's The Wine Advocate: "The 2018 Pinot Noir Maresh Vineyard is an incredible wine. It opens slowly to an arresting perfume of dusty earth, dried rose petals, tea leaves, licorice and amaro with a wealth of bright red berry fruit at the core. The palate is elegant, supple and juicy, with an expansive fan of layered, spicy flavors and a very long finish. It's hard to resist now, but it will have more to offer with time in bottle."
