About ten days ago, I told you all about how winemaker Jim Maresh at Arterberry Maresh was ruling the score wars with his 98 point pinot noirs and his 99 point chardonnay. Those wines are awesome, but also expensive. The best stuff always is. . . except for right now.
It turns out that his "normale" 2019 Pinot Noir Dundee Hills was awarded a terrific 94 Points! A LOT of other Oregon wines with that kind of score cost $75 - $125. But this bottle is priced well enough that everyone can afford some. Heck, you can't afford to NOT get some.
Here's the review from Robert Parker's The Wine Advocate: "The 2019 Pinot Noir Dundee Hills is ethereal and perfumed this vintage. It offers pure scents of raspberry preserves, bergamot, tangerine and Angostura with wafts of sweet balsamic. The palate is soft, bright and super silky, with layer after layer of sweet fruit, spice and citrus, and it finishes long and perfumed."
