Arterberry Maresh Pinot Noir Old Vines 2018 -- Parker 94+ Points
Regular price $42.00
I dig this wine plenty, for a couple of obvious reasons:
- The Old Vines bottling received a score of 94+ Points from Robert Parker's The Wine Advocate. It still takes a hell of a wine to reach that level, even in the modern era.
- The price is not only a BARGAIN for a wine at this level, with all that old-vine fruit, it is actually less expensive than the last vintage. That just doesn't happen much in Oregon these days for a wine like this.
From Parker: “Pale ruby-purple, the 2018 Pinot Noir Old Vines has an alluring perfume of blueberries, violets and dark cherries with accents of earth and amaro. The medium-bodied palate offers intense, broody fruits framed by muscular tannins and bright freshness, and it finishes long and full of flavor. It's still youthfully coiled and may improve with another year or two in bottle.”
