2019 Ken Wright Pinot Noir Sedimentary AVA Series Yamhill-Carlton District -- Pinotguy 94 Points
What is common between these two wines is dense and fully extracted fruit, a fine tannic structure, and bright balancing acidity. They are both exceptionally well balanced, with layer after layer of fruit that has remarkable persistence on the palate. They both possess the darkly pigmented and intense fruit character that is typical of the best ‘19s. They are approachable now (as the empty bottles on my counter attest) but like many 2019s they will certainly benefit from short term cellaring, and will continue to drink well for a solid decade or longer. In short, they are terrific, and a terrific deal at this level!
